v1.59.1 is a patch release on top of v1.59, which came out a day earlier on 26 August 2026 and carries the game version. That pairing is normal here: the author ships a feature release against a new game patch, then a small fix a day or two later if something slipped through.

There are two ways to read the installed version, and both come from the author. Use either one, then find that version in the table to see which game patch it was built for.

• In game. Right-click the notebook icon next to the phone icon. The installed version is shown there.
• In the cheat console. While you are in Live mode, type ui_cheats.mod_versionCopy and press Enter.

If neither works, the mod is not loading at all, which is a different problem. Work through the fixes for UI Cheats not working instead of reinstalling anything.

Two numbers matter, and they are easy to mix up. The mod version is the one the author assigns, written v1.59.1. The game version is The Sims 4 patch that release was built against, written 1.127.41. They are unrelated numbering schemes that happen to look alike.

The author's statement about the current line is specific: v1.59 is built with game version 1.127.41 and will not work for older versions of the game. Read every other row the same way. The game version column tells you the patch the author had in front of him, not a range the release supports.

13 of the 85 rows have no game version against them. Most are small fixes shipped soon after the release above, where the author did not record a new number; treat those as belonging to the game version of the nearest release below them. The rest are from the mod's first two years, before he noted the game version at all.

The mod has had 85 releases between 30 June 2015 and 27 August 2026, which is a little over eleven years of continuous updates. In 2026 alone there have been 9. Counting the rows by year gives a steady rhythm rather than bursts:

• 2026: 9 releases
• 2025: 6 releases
• 2024: 8 releases
• 2023: 6 releases
• 2022: 6 releases
• 2021: 9 releases

Most releases follow a game patch, and the pattern since 2024 has been roughly one mod release per significant Sims 4 update. Some guides say new builds appear within a day or two of a patch. We cannot confirm that window from the author, though the dates in the table are consistent with a fast turnaround: v1.59.1 followed v1.59 the next day.

The longest the mod has gone without a release is 196 days, between 30 August 2022 and 14 March 2023. That is the exception. If your game has just patched and no new mod release exists yet, the honest answer is that you wait, and that UI panels may misbehave until it arrives.

The releases above are for the current 64-bit game. If you play The Sims 4 Legacy Edition, the author points you at a separate download on Mod The Sims: v1.15.1.

A separate frozen build for Legacy Edition, for 32-bit PC players and non-Metal Macs. The Mod The Sims listing reports game version 1.58.63 and was last updated on 17 August 2022, so it has none of the newer features.

That listing has been downloaded 3,158,516 times, which says more about how many people still run Legacy Edition than about the build being current. Do not install it alongside the normal version, and do not expect anything from the table above to be in it.

The Legacy Edition listing on Mod The Sims is the only place that build is published.

weerbesu does not publish a new Patreon post for each version. He edits the same post in place, which is why its address still reads v1-59 and why the attachment on it is always the current zip. The post was first published on 20 April 2019 and was last edited on 27 August 2026, the day v1.59.1 shipped.

Three ways to keep up, in the order we would suggest:

1. Check the author's changelog site. It lists every version with its date and what changed, and nothing else, so the answer is on the first screen.
2. Follow weerbesu on Patreon. His page reported 86,551 members on 22 September 2026, of whom 1,970 pay, so most of the people there are following rather than pledging.
3. Come back here. This page carries the date it was last checked at the top, and the download page carries the same version line.

Whichever you use, check the mod version before you assume something is broken. Version mismatch is the first thing to rule out, and it is the cheapest: the troubleshooting guide starts there for a reason.
