Every UI Cheats feature, click by click
Updated Checked against UI Cheats v1.59.1
The UI Cheats Extension changes values in The Sims 4 by clicking the panel that already shows them. Right-click is the main action nearly everywhere: it opens a small box where you type a number or pick from a list, and the change lands as soon as you confirm. Below is every click the mod adds, panel by panel, current for v1.59.1.
Nothing here needs the cheat console open, and nothing here needs testingcheats. If you would rather type commands, the same ground is covered by the equivalent cheat codes.

The ten clicks people use most
If you only remember ten things about this mod, make it these. Each one links to the section that covers the rest of that panel.
| What you want to change | What you click | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Set household funds to an exact amount | Right-click the money counter | Money counter, top left in Live mode |
| Add 1,000 Simoleons | Left-click the money counter | Money counter, top left in Live mode |
| Fill every need at once | Right-click the icon that opens the Needs panel | Needs panel |
| Set one need to an exact value | Right-click a needs bar, then type a number from -100 to 100 | Needs panel |
| Set a skill to any level | Right-click the skill bar and choose a level | Skills panel |
| Promote, demote or jump to a career level | Right-click the job icon or the green career title bar | Career panel |
| Set friendship or romance between two Sims | Right-click the other Sim, then type a number from -100 to 100 | Relationships panel |
| Add a trait | Right-click the green Traits title bar | Simology panel |
| Remove a moodlet | Right-click the moodlet | Moodlet area, next to the Sim portrait |
| Set the time of day | Right-click the clock, then type an hour from 0 to 23 | In-game clock |
How the controls work
There are only four kinds of interaction in the whole mod, which is why the feature list is long but the learning curve is not.
Right-click. The default. Unless a row below says otherwise, the cheat is a right-click on the thing you want to change. Right-clicking a bar, a meter, a counter or a green title bar opens a dialog; right-clicking an individual item, such as a trait or a moodlet, usually removes it.
Left-click. Only four elements respond to a plain left-click: a needs bar sets that need to the height you clicked, the money counter adds 1,000 Simoleons, a want re-rolls, and the Balance and Imbalance bar from Adventure Awaits sets itself to the point you clicked.
Dragging. The needs bars have been draggable since v1.1 in June 2015, so you can pull a motive up or down instead of clicking a single spot.
Typing a value. Many cheats open a box that takes a number. The ranges the author documents are -100 to 100 for needs, character values, luck, friendship, romance, work and school performance and work reputation; 0 to 100 for sentiment values and university course grades; 0 to 23 for the hour on the clock; and -500 to 500 for the eco footprint. Everything else is a menu you pick from.
Nothing in this list needs testingcheats. That requirement went away in v1.1 and has never come back. You do still need both mod files installed and Script Mods Allowed switched on, which is covered in how to get the mod running.

Needs panel
The needs bars take a left-click, a right-click and a drag, which makes them the quickest part of the mod to use. You can set one motive precisely, set it roughly by clicking where you want it, or fill the lot in one action.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Left-click a needs bar | Sets that need to the value at the position you clicked |
| Right-click a needs bar | Type an exact value, from -100 to 100 |
| Right-click the icon that opens the Needs panel | Fills every need for the selected Sim |
| Right-click the vampire, spellcaster or werewolf experience bar | Choose a rank. Needs the matching occult pack |
| Right-click the Power point or Talent point counter | Set occult power or talent points |
| Right-click a spellcaster curse or a werewolf temperament | Remove it |
The fill-everything action arrived in v1.30 in March 2022, so an older build of the mod will not have it. For the typed equivalents, see the Sims 4 needs cheats.
Simology panel
Simology carries more UI Cheats actions than any other panel. Traits, age, character values, fame, milestones and several pack meters all live here, and the pattern is consistent: right-click a green title bar to add something, right-click an individual entry to remove or edit it.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Right-click the age progress bar | Add or subtract days spent at the current life stage, or change the total number of days the Sim has lived |
| Right-click the green Traits title bar | Add one or more traits. Since v1.54 this includes Formative Moments |
| Right-click an individual trait | Remove it |
| Right-click the green Lifestyles title bar | Add one or more lifestyles. Needs Snowy Escape |
| Right-click a lifestyle | Remove it |
| Right-click a university degree | Remove it. Needs Discover University |
| Right-click a Servo behavior module | Remove it |
| Right-click a character value meter | Set a value from -100 to 100. Needs Parenthood |
| Right-click the Fame or Reputation meter | Choose a rank. Needs Get Famous |
| Right-click the Fame point counter | Set the number of fame points |
| Right-click a Batuu faction reputation bar | Choose a rank. Needs Journey to Batuu |
| Right-click the green NAP title bar | Open that neighborhood's Neighborhood Action Plan voting panel, even if your Sim does not live there. Needs Eco Lifestyle |
| Right-click the Influence point counter | Set influence points. Needs Eco Lifestyle |
| Right-click a milestone category title bar | Add milestones from that category for the Sim's current age. Needs Growing Together |
| Right-click an existing milestone | Remove it, or change the Sim, object, location, career, death type or trait it was unlocked with |
| Right-click the ghost experience bar | Choose a ghost rank. Needs Life and Death |
| Left-click the Balance and Imbalance bar | Set the value to where you clicked. Needs Adventure Awaits |
| Right-click Luck | Set a value from -100 to 100 |
Two of these are worth calling out. The age cheat moves a Sim along inside a life stage, and it can also rewrite how many days the Sim has lived, but it does not push a Sim into the next life stage the way an age-up command does. The milestone cheat can change the death type recorded on a milestone a Sim already has, which is not the same thing as killing a Sim; see the age and death cheats for that.
If you want the typed versions of the trait actions, they are in the Sims 4 trait cheats.
Relationships panel
Two actions, and the second one is the reason people keep this panel open. You can pull a Sim your household has never met into the relationships panel and then set the bars from there.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Right-click a Sim | Set friendship or romance from -100 to 100, delete the relationship outright, or remove the romance bar |
| Right-click the icon that opens the Relationships panel | Add any Sim to the panel, even one your Sim has never met |
Adding an unmet Sim arrived in v1.39 in December 2023, and deleting a relationship or stripping the romance bar came in v1.36 a few months earlier. Sentiments and relationship bits are handled somewhere else, in the Sim Profile, which is covered further down. The console equivalents are in the Sims 4 relationship cheats.
Skills panel
Setting a skill level is one right-click, and since v1.38 you can add a skill that is not showing yet rather than grinding the first point by hand.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Right-click a skill bar | Choose a level |
| Right-click the icon that opens the Skills panel | Add any skill to the panel |
| Right-click the Skill Mastery Perks title bar | Add mastery perks |
| Right-click a mastery perk | Remove it |
Mastery perks were added in v1.51 in December 2025. Pet skills are not in this panel: they sit on the pet's own Sim Profile, which has had a skill cheat since v1.37. For the typed versions, see the Sims 4 skill cheats.
Career panel
The career panel covers jobs, school and university in one place. Promotions, branch changes and task completion are all right-clicks, and since v1.57 retirement is on the same menu.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Right-click a job icon or the green career title bar | Promote, demote, retire, change career branch, or jump to any level of the current branch |
| Right-click a promotion task, daily task, prep task or work-from-home assignment | Complete it instantly |
| Right-click a work or school performance bar | Set a value from -100 to 100 |
| Right-click a work reputation bar | Set a value from -100 to 100 |
| Right-click a workplace rival | Remove them |
| Right-click the degree icon or the green Course Schedule title bar | Change the Sim's university grade point average. Needs Discover University |
| Right-click the suspension or probation text | Clear university suspension or probation |
| Right-click a university course icon | Set the grade, 0 to 100 |
| Right-click the Noble Favor meter | Set its rank. Needs the Royalty and Legacy content |
Work-from-home assignments count as tasks, so they can be completed the same way. Removing a workplace rival was added in v1.41, and the Noble Favor cheat in v1.56. The console commands for all of this are in the Sims 4 career cheats.
Aspirations panel
The aspirations panel is short, and it is honest about what it does not do.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Right-click an aspiration goal | Fulfil it |
| Right-click the Soul's Journey meter | Choose a rank. Needs Life and Death |
Completing a goal this way pays out the normal reward, so satisfaction points accumulate the way they would if the Sim had earned the goal. There is no separate cheat that sets a satisfaction point total directly. If what you actually want is the reward you were saving for, unlock it in the Rewards Store instead, which is a right-click and is covered below.
A save-corruption bug in the aspiration cheat was fixed in v1.16.2 in January 2020, and v1.44.1 fixed cheated goals not being marked complete. Both are long gone from the current build. The typed versions are in the Sims 4 aspiration cheats.
Money counter, moodlets and wants
This is the busiest corner of the screen and the one most people try first. The money counter takes both clicks, and the moodlet strip beside the Sim portrait takes a right-click per moodlet.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Left-click the money counter | Gain 1,000 Simoleons |
| Right-click the money counter | Set household funds exactly. Also handles Galactic Credits, bits and pieces |
| Right-click a moodlet | Remove that moodlet |
| Left-click a want | Re-roll it |
| Right-click a want | Complete it |
Setting funds exactly is the cheat that replaces repeated motherlode typing, and it works downward as well as upward, so you can hand a household a deliberately small balance for a challenge. Galactic Credits need Star Wars: Journey to Batuu.
Wants were reworked in v1.59 so the cheat no longer goes through a popup dialog, and v1.59.1 fixed pinning a want. Fears are a different matter. There is no documented cheat that adds a fear, and the only tool the mod gives you against one is the moodlet removal above. The old whims system is gone from the game entirely, so the mod covers Wants and not whims.
The console commands for money are in the Sims 4 money cheats.
The clock, seasons and weather
The clock cheat sets the hour of day. It does not touch the calendar, and it does not pause or speed up the game.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Right-click the in-game clock | Set the hour, 0 to 23. Entering 15 gives 3 PM |
| Right-click the season icon | Set the current season. Needs Seasons |
| Right-click the weather icon | Set the current weather. Needs Seasons |
| Right-click the lunar phase icon | Set the lunar phase. Needs Werewolves |
| Right-click the eco footprint icon | Set the lot footprint or the neighborhood footprint, -500 to 500. Needs Eco Lifestyle |
The time cheat has been in the mod since v1.8 in January 2017 and was reworked in v1.14.1. Season and weather came with v1.19, the lunar phase with v1.33 and the eco footprint with v1.18.
Sim Profile
Open another Sim's profile and you get a second set of cheats that the relationships panel does not carry. Sentiments, relationship bits and attraction all live here, and so do pet skills.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Right-click the green Relationships title bar | Add one or more relationship bits |
| Right-click a relationship bit icon | Remove it |
| Right-click the green Sentiments title bar | Add one or more sentiments |
| Right-click a sentiment | Remove it, or set its value from 0 to 100 |
| Right-click a skill bar | Choose a level. This covers pet skills too |
| Right-click a known Attraction or Romantic Satisfaction value | Set it. Needs Lovestruck |
Sentiment cheats arrived in v1.27, relationship bits in v1.26, pet skills in v1.37 and the attraction cheat in v1.44. A bug that broke every Sim Profile cheat was fixed in v1.35.1, so if you are running something older than that, this whole section is a reason to update.
Perk purchase panels
Anywhere the game shows you a tree of perks to buy, the mod lets you unlock one outright, and lock it again if you change your mind. The lock direction matters: this is not a one-way switch.
| Panel | Action | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Retail stores, restaurants, vet clinics | Right-click a perk | Unlock or lock it |
| Clubs and dynasties | Right-click a perk | Unlock or lock it |
| Occults, fame, small businesses | Right-click a perk | Unlock or lock it |
| Werewolves | Right-click a dormant ability | Unlock or lock it |
| Fame | Right-click a fame quirk | Add or remove it |
Perk unlocking goes back to v1.15 in September 2019. Fame quirks were added in v1.31, werewolf dormant abilities in v1.33 and a spellbook cheat in v1.20. Occult ranks themselves are set from the needs panel, not here.
If you are chasing occult content specifically, the Sims 4 occult cheats cover the typed route.
Events, holidays and scenarios
Timed goals are a common reason to reach for a cheat, because a failed party or a missed tradition cannot be retried. All three goal types take the same right-click.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Right-click an event goal, such as a party, a date or an active career objective | Complete it |
| Right-click a holiday tradition | Complete it. Needs Seasons |
| Right-click a scenario goal | Complete it |
The event goal cheat is one of the oldest features, from v1.14 in June 2019, and it has been extended several times since: to Lovestruck dates in v1.43, to Discovery Quests and similar event types in v1.47, and fixed in v1.44 so it no longer stops working when goals refresh. Scenario goals were added in v1.40.
The smaller panels
The rest of the feature list is one action per panel. None of them are big enough for a section of their own, and several are the sort of thing you only find by right-clicking out of curiosity.
| Panel | Action | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Milestones | Right-click a milestone category title bar | Add milestones from that category and age |
| Milestones | Right-click an existing milestone | Remove it, or change what it was unlocked with |
| Sim Stat | Right-click a stat | Change its value |
| Household Collections | Right-click an item | Spawn it into the Sim's inventory |
| NAP voting | Right-click an enacted policy | Repeal it instantly |
| Bills and Utilities | Right-click power or water | Set the stored amount |
| Achievements | Right-click an achievement | Unlock it |
| Rewards Store | Right-click a reward | Unlock it |
| Buy and Sell | Right-click the left or right arrow | Change the quantity by 10 instead of 1 |
| Create a Sim | Right-click the confirm button | Randomize names, traits and aspirations, for quickly making a test Sim |
Two of these solve problems that have no obvious console answer. The Household Collections spawn, added in v1.27, hands you a collectible you would otherwise have to hunt for, and a fix in v1.44.1 stopped the mod from blocking tarot card hints in House Collections. The Buy and Sell arrow cheat turns a hundred clicks into ten when you are stocking a retail lot.
The Rewards Store unlock is the practical answer to the satisfaction point question further up: rather than granting points, the mod hands you the item.
Which cheats need which pack
The mod itself needs no packs. Pack-specific cheats only appear when the panel they attach to exists in your game, so a base game player simply never sees them.
| Pack or content | What it unlocks in the mod |
|---|---|
| Vampires, Realm of Magic, Werewolves | Occult ranks, power and talent points, curse removal, werewolf temperaments and dormant abilities |
| Seasons | Season, weather and holiday tradition cheats |
| Werewolves | The lunar phase cheat |
| Snowy Escape | Lifestyles |
| Discover University | Grade point average, degrees, course grades, suspension and probation, university organizations |
| Get Famous | Fame, reputation, fame points and quirks |
| Journey to Batuu | Batuu faction reputation and Galactic Credits |
| Eco Lifestyle | Eco footprint, Neighborhood Action Plans and influence points |
| Growing Together | Milestones |
| Lovestruck | Attraction and Romantic Satisfaction |
| Life and Death | Ghost ranks and the Soul's Journey meter |
| Businesses and Hobbies | Small business renown and alignment |
| Adventure Awaits | The Balance and Imbalance bar |
| Royalty and Legacy | Noble Favor, Dynasty Prestige and Dynasty Unity |
| Get to Work, Dine Out, Cats and Dogs | Retail, restaurant and vet clinic perks and star ratings |
| Get Together | Club perk points and club perks |
| Parenthood | Character values |
Most of these features were added to the mod within days of the patch that introduced the content, which you can follow in the features added in recent versions.
What the mod does not do
The feature list is long enough that it is easy to assume the mod covers everything. It does not, and guessing wastes more time than reading this short list.
- No pregnancy control. No labour cheat, no twins, no gender selection. Use the Sims 4 pregnancy cheats in the console instead.
- No killing, resurrecting or setting a death type. The milestone cheat can change the death type recorded on an existing milestone, which is a record, not an event. Everything else is console only, in the age and death cheats.
- No resetting a Sim. A stuck Sim needs the console.
- No renaming a Sim. There is no rename cheat in the list.
- No Build mode cheats. Object placement, hidden objects and lot traits are all outside the mod. Those are in the Sims 4 build mode cheats.
- No adding moodlets or buffs. Removal only.
- No pausing or changing game speed. The clock cheat sets the hour and nothing else.
- No whims. The game replaced whims with Wants and Fears, and the mod covers Wants.
It also does not run on console. The Sims 4 on PlayStation and Xbox does not load script mods of any kind, so there is no version of this mod for either. That is covered in more detail on console support.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need testingcheats on for UI Cheats to work?
No. The mod dropped that requirement in v1.1, back in June 2015. You still need testingcheats true for the typed console commands, but not for anything you click through UI Cheats.
Do I need any expansion packs?
No. The mod runs on the base game. Pack-specific cheats, such as season and weather or university grades, only appear if you own the pack that adds that content, because the panel they attach to is not in your game otherwise.
Which click should I try first on a panel that is not listed here?
Right-click. Almost every cheat in the mod is a right-click, and the four left-click actions are on the needs bars, the money counter, wants and the Balance and Imbalance bar. If a right-click does nothing, the mod does not cover that element.
A dialog opens but typing a number does nothing. What is wrong?
Your package file loaded and your script file did not. That is the author's own split diagnosis. Check that the .ts4script file is in the Mods folder no more than one subfolder deep, and that Script Mods Allowed is switched on, then restart the game.
Can I rename a Sim, control a pregnancy or add a moodlet?
No. None of those are in the feature list. The mod removes moodlets but does not add them, and it has no pregnancy, death, rename or reset cheat. Those need the cheat console.
How do I check which version of the mod I have?
Right-click the notebook icon next to the phone icon in Live mode, or type ui_cheats.mod_version in the cheat console. Both report the installed version.

Social groups and owned businesses
Clubs, university organizations, dynasties and any business your household owns all expose their point counters and rating meters to a right-click.
Social Groups panel
Owned Businesses panel
The club points cheat was broken for a while and fixed in v1.49. Small business renown, alignment and perk handling came in v1.48, and Dynasty Prestige and Unity in v1.52 and v1.55.
